1. check if you got something running on port 80 (skype for instance) and disable it.
2. how can you see your website with no-ip while you got a port problem ?
3. same thing as above....

I spoke with him on msn, be aware he has no experience at all so he doesn't even know how to get his own IP (ipconfig) or even ping...
And I don't really have the time to do a "crash internet 101"...

So far he should have done the port forwarding stuff though it's obvious he doesn't know how to handle a no-ip service since when I pinged it I had... a local IP address

He proposed I took access of his computer to do the stuff but:
1°) I don't do that,
2°) I refuse to get paid,

So if someone is interested...

As a side not, you should REALLY read the guides made for no-ip service AND the fields / menus of your router  begging for help is really uncool.
The world is full of love and peace ^_^

[New Problem] 80,29000-29200

Postby AnaRhisT on Sat Aug 09, 2008 1:53 pm

1. I got Xampp to work !
2. I went to my Router's website [192.168.1.1]
3. I went to open the next ports :
Port 80 , 29000 , 29100 , 29200 :D
4. I told to my friend to test it , It still didn't work ..

Btw , Should I try to go Network connections -> Right click on the Router's Icon -> Status , to get my DNS IP's -> To write it down -> Protocol properties -> to write there evrything done -> And down there to write the DNS I wrote down -> To press Ok , Again Ok -> IP Should change every second -> Disable Firewall -> Goto router's website , DMZ -> and to write there what I need to -> Tell my friend to try get into thewebsite / game , again . -> Will it work ? o.o

DNS IP for port forwarding? sounds like a cool idea.

i would suggest you to google up some port forwarding tutorial for your router on the internet or throw some eyes into its manual.
