:P I was just asking because I was thinking about rewriting the whole server to be multi-threaded.

You should use Boost.Asio so that it handles it for you.

We added Boost in the Seven Skies project well Raven Did anyways.

Well boost and its almighty template metaprogramming is almost a C++ standard now. A good part of the C++11 specification was made of it. It's just a bit bloated for what you need sometimes (let's look at how the League Of Legends client is a slow ass).
