drops_data.csv viewer

Postby Rifke on Sun Aug 26, 2007 2:01 am

Well I was bored, and I tried something with the csv files. I'm also trying to make it save whenever you change it, but I'm still working on it. Wether it's usefull or not is upto you.

If it used a database it was so much easier to do a change on it, and it was even possible to advance it to a full written out thing of wich id matched wich mob & what item >.> ah wel :D

Yes you can, but isn't that clear, all the data is squeezed together.

Very impressive!

A thought for a future one, once you work it out, would be a drop down list of the drops where you can select the drop by the name.

Also, maybe the existing list can also have the name of the drop tied to it too.

Well, just some ideas for the future.

Yes, but it's so hard to do with 'text' files. Drops_data is a relative small file, but if you try to load equip_data, it gets stuck.

That's why I wrote in the little text underneath my first post. That it would have been much easier if worked with a database. You can easly add data, remove it, view it

I was working on a CSV viewer that had a couple of hardcode SQL lookups (based on the name of the file) specifically for osRose. I imported a couple of files in mysql for lookup purposes. If your interested, I can clean it up and post it.

I use C# nowadays. But I saw some tools that convert entire visual studio solutions from C# to VB or back.
