[Release] RoseZA ( Narose Patchlist Decryptor )

Postby thriel on Tue May 22, 2012 2:39 pm

This is a patchlist decryptor for Narose patches. It will extract Narose patches and put the files into Neoncube format so you can patch your own private server.

How it works :

First, you cant patch too many patches at once, it bombs out if you do, so best is to do it patch by patch, it only takes a few seconds to decrypt so it goes really quick.

Download the specific patch you want from narose, lets take for example patch 280. So you download the 280 patch from narose site ( http://patch.roseonlinegame.com/roseonline/evopatch ), you keep the same directory and file structure that narose has. keep the file names the same and keep them unchanged in their zip format. You only need to download everything marked 280, skip the rest of the files in the directory, since you are only patching 280.

here is a pic that shows what i mean :

Next download the patchlist for 280, it should be named : 280_patchlist.zip. and this patchlist you must extract somewhere, since the decryptor reads the patchlist, not the zip.

Now you are setup to extract the patch.

Open your decryptor, you will see 3 fields that you need to set.

decryptor2.jpg

First, input field is the patchlist, so browse to your extracted patchlist.
Second, input field is the "Directory" of the narose patch, so browse and select the directory where you downloaded the narose patch.
Third, select the output folder, this is the folder where the completed conversion of neoncube files will be placed.
Click extract, it should take a few seconds to extract.

now if you go to the extracted folder you will see that the files have all been placed into neoncube format, you should see 3DDATA folder, and inside STB, STL and other folders. All you need to do now is to use winrar and rar the folders and add them to your neoncube patchlist.

Patch your game...

Here is what the output folder looks like after extraction :

All the narose files are now in the correct folders according to neoncube format. just zip or rar the folders, add them to patchlist and patch your game.

the best thing is to Close the decryptor between patches, meaning dont extract 2 patches straight after each other without closing and re-opening the program.

It takes only seconds to decrypt the patches, and the decryptor puts everything into neoncube format, you can literraly patch 50 narose patches in 30 mins or less, and it allows you to patch specific patches as well, very handy :D

All credits for this program goes to Niam, he is our tools creator and made this program, hope some of you guys find it usefull.

here is the program :
PatchListDecryptor.rar
(131.14 KiB) Downloaded 1089 times

I suggest you add it to the tools list, I just hope that now that i made this public narose doesnt change the patchlist decryption, that is the reason we never posted it before.

Anyway, Enjoy ...

cool, just remember the narose "patch files" themselves must stay zipped, and the patchlist must be unzipped. this is a common error to make :)

Just note that this decrypter only works with the old patches and not the new ones since NA changed encryption. Patches 4xx onwards use the new encryption as far as we know, however feel free to try it ^-^ we haven't really confirmed from when the encryption changes yet.
