Client Editing

Postby lmame on Sat Nov 17, 2007 12:02 am

Here is a sub forum on client editing questions.

If you want to talk, experiment, develop on client editing, you are free now to do it here AND ONLY HERE ! :D

Though, please remember that it's NOT osRose and osiRose protocol to be like a private server, with a custom client as we use genuine client files from RoseNA, jRose or iRose ones.
So osRose and osiRose won't use any of the tools, discoveries, modified items, new items that could be done here.

All things you do here is solely at the expense of the people who do it, osRose and osiRose have no responsability on it.
The world is full of love and peace ^_^

We hope you agree with us in this. It wasn't so easy to decide but here we have it.

Please keep yourself updated with the new rule(s). :)

Wow! I thought you guys were steering clear of this subject. That's why I offered the space at Kuro-tejina.

Still if you want to host it here that's great.

What i would like to know is whether anybody has had any success with decompiling trose.exe?

I would love to find out exactly what formulas they use in there for all the stuff.

I've tried a few of the free C++ decompilers such as Boomerang and Spices but so far I haven't had any luck. I guess I don't really want to edit it so much as just figure out how it works.

I never tried decompiling it, though you'll have only assembly code with this, right?

When i say decompile i mean converting the executable back into readable C code. Obviously the structures would be different than when they were written but as long as they are readable then we can figure out what the thing is doing.

Both of the decompilers i mentioned claim to be able to do this but they both fail to do the job for trose.exe :(

I'm not sure you understand it right.

Most of the time talking on how to would be legal, but peforming the action by yourself in that case is illegal. If you do some illegal activities and they don't spot you you're safe, else you'll have bad luck. It is realy great to expirement with at home or some friends but you have to choise what you'll do with it.
