Client Editing is a delicate subject. osRose and osiRose will not support or use any Client Editing tool or results as a standard. So you are free to experiment, test, and develop there on Client Editing, but at your own risk :)

It depends what your VFS structure is. A VFS in this case is a combination of every file stacked upon each other. The file pointers are stored within a file named data.idx thats it.

The format of the IDX can be found here

If you are unable to create your own VFS i would recommend the VFS Workshop which is stored in my online file archive.

what is funky about your file? is there anything new to it or just eq and gear stolen from other rose server aswell

i think everything you do on the client is "stolen" rose is not you're idea it's stays a private server

but i don't care what you do or somebody else

This means you will have to recreate the TriggerVFS.dll this is used to interact with the data.idx and VFS files.

You can download the source of the TriggerVFS from vetyst.com Download files/ROSE Online/Tools/TriggerVFS.rar

You can add your own encryption this way. However make sure u do not modify the current names, return values or parameters of the functions / methods. You can however change their contents.

Make sure to set add a system variable ROSE_ROOT which points to the solution directory which you are willing to use.

ps: You can change the names if you have a custom client.
