Music Style

Postby Rifke on Wed Nov 21, 2007 8:25 pm

I think this is rather ovious, most likely to be interested in what types of music the mayority of our members listens.

Choise:
  • R&B, there does exist some good r&b, but there is bad r&b also ...
  • Techno, the best way to relax after a stressfull day, just sit down and relax ...
  • Jump- and HardStyle, the way to lose weight, and train your condition, also extreemly social in large groups ...

As vinyl/cd DJ I prefer Hardstyle as my nr.1!
Sometimes I spin jumpstyle tracks (only the good ones, most are crap ;) ), but its not my main style :)

I agree.
Metal and/or rock is an essential element of the list.
otherwise us poor oldies who listen to Deep Purple, Rainbow, Rush, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Iron maiden, Blue oyster Cult, Metallica etc. have no place to vote

Have you ever actually listened to metal or are you just judging by the few bands that do nothing but make a lot of noise and scream a lot?

just reserve your judgement and listen to No Leaf Clover by Metallica, then tell me that it's pointless. It takes an incredible amount of skill to blend the components of this type of music. It is undeniably metal but so much more too.

Or how about Veteran of the psychic wars by Blue oyster cult. This is a song written about Michaels Moorcock's fictional character Elric of Melnibone. It was also used as the central theme for the cartonn sci-fi movie "Heavy Metal"

Metal is far more than just noise ;)

Precisely.
Metallica did a concert tour with a full orchestra as a backup :D

Here they are without the orchestra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRYDetbwegs
