hey Sethayne, just wondering if you might do some kind of tutorial for texture mapping. i know you said you weren't going to go into it here, but i'm pretty much stuck there, and the tutorials i've found don't seem to help much.
here's what i've done so far:
i created a sword model, and gave it a crappy cylinder uvw map. then unwrapped it, hit the 'edit' to bring up the edit window, and just saved the rendered DDS. then i edited it just to give it something to show up(filled the whole DDS with wood grain, lol).
i can get it to show up in game, but of course now i need to figure out how to add the textures right.
any tips for me? when i try any of the tutorials i've found online, it just ends up horribly scrambled. i've got to be doing something wrong, but not sure what.
