I hate that DirectX is way better with dx11 or dx10 :P
But this will give me alot more info on hows it's build :)

Aw... OpenGL would be lots lots nicer, if it would be in OpenGL i would consider to make an Mac version of it.

The big problem with DX10 or 11 is that you will be excluding any users that still have XP since DX have never (to my knowledge) released any drivers for XP and (as far as i know) never intend to.
I use XP exclusively and the chances are i will not bother changing to windows 7 since i see no clear advantages to doing so. IMO XP is still more efficient.

I use 7 alot more than XP.
Since it has so much extra's that I use that I can't go back to XP.
And since we're going upwards so there will be a new windows released somewhere in the next idk year(s)
we need to move on and not live in the past.
going back to DirectX 9c is just as going back to Rose Engine.
So I think we need to move on to atleast if we use DirectX to dx10.

Or an engine that supports all the range and access directly this engine and let him do the stuff.

The coding work that's behind it is really big.
like the client can choose the DirectX version? hmmmm
or the people can choose DirectX version... hmmmmm

I mean if we used a pro 3D engine.
I'm pretty sure TrueVision (for example) handles from Xp to 7 do you "just" have to use their own API and don't bother the rest.
What should be true for this one should be true for the others.

Of course if a new engine is coded that would be another story.

this is true.
coding an engine will take us to another dimension.
But it will open up alot of options for us.
Because we can do exactly what we want with it.
But it will take another few months to make it.
Think about the time that will pass before we finish this.

I'm not the one who willl do it ^_^

I can do the logic part and the packet thing so client and server are matching and working ok. But 3D stuff isn't my area of expertise so all I'm saying is just noob 2 cents.
