Quando vou para a seleção de Canais e tento entrar em um canal, aparece um erro e na janela de console mostra que parou de ler logo no Pack 0x712

It only works with arcturus in it's current state. Are you using OsRose servers?

There is a modified version lmame did to work for osrose, if you're using that it will give you those errors. Use the one wolfwing put on github since he used the original code that exjam left which works for arcturus only.

i just started messing with this project.
Since i don't have an arc server i figured i would get it working with osirose just to see where we stand with it.
The first thing i encountered was that it seemed to be impossible to make the encryted packets match up so rather than mess about with all that stuff i disabled encryption at both ends.

After a few false starts i managed to get that working without too many changes to either end.
This took me as far as the character select then after selection i started getting an assertion error with strcpy_s which I traced back to a function that was attempting to fit my character name which had a length of 1096 (lol. most of it was made up of a string of nonsense characters as mentioned earlier in this thread) into a char array with length 255.
Not gonna work out well ......

So i modified the code to clear the character name prior to reading it from the end of the 0x715 packet and that got me into the world.

That is where it all got rather messed up.

It would seem that I'm missing a lot of stuff here.

No ground textures
No face (even though it looked fine at char select)
monster names without monsters all over the place
Lags like hell (that could just be a feature of my computer though)
Missing mouse icons
can't select a monster to fight.

Is this the same place where others have gotten to previously or am i still missing something?
Need to lookup information on NARose items, skills, quests?
Now featuring a newly completed skill tree for all classes
Formatting fixed for different resolutions

You're probably not supporting some of the extensions used. It uses shaders, do you have them loaded?
The shader folder should be in the Rose online folder or where the exe is, depending on the working directory.
