Client Source

Postby PurpleYouko on Wed Aug 24, 2016 4:26 pm

As this thing has been released by so many people before in its unmodified format, I no longer feel bound by any kind of restraints so here it is in all its glory :D

For those of you who actually plan to pick your way through this code rather than just take the trose binary file that I already included in the donor client post;

Welcome to HELL Bwahahaha
My private hell anyway ;)

Well anyway, here's the repo with a lovely generic name so that nobody would have any freakin idea what they were looking at if they just stumbled across it in Github :D

Client source and trose exe binary have been brought up to date.
The binary is now included in the root directory of the repo files so please use that one from now on if you don't want to compile yourself.

What does this have to do with reverse engineering?
We have the source code.
And i released it too. :?

Honestly, working with that client source feels like reverse engineering. :-)

I gonne reverse engineer a few methodes and compare the source with the original one. :)
If the methode do exactly the same with the originial one, i know that i'm doing it well.
Or if i missed a few things, then i know i've to check and study. how they become on that part of code :) I just whant to expand my knowledge

After the study part, I can reverse engineer other library's of RoseOnline.

But you have the source to the whole client and it's libraries, are you just doing it to practice reverse engineering?

Yes i do it only for practicing. But if there are few other library's that are not engineered. I always can start the development on it and share the code. but i've to check the law, if its possible for sharing the reversed engineered code. Because i know its depending on wich country you live in.
