For those who don't have the patience to compile their own server and client.

Pre extracted VFS

It has been noted that a lot of the VFS tools don't seem to work on this client so I decided to zip up all my extracted VFS and just upload the thing to my mega account

So here it is.

just unzip it and copy the whole thing into your client root directory. Just overwrite the existing 3DDATA folder completely. It contains everything, including the stuff that isn't in the VFS (folders like RES and stuff)

I already have one that works for me.
Just doesn't for some other people.... :(

That VFS editor crashes on my computer when I tell it to open the VFS.

Thanks for uploading this data! With this, the chain is complete! :) Client runs nicely... though it spawned me in the ocean, haha! :D

LOL

list_respawnzones must be a bit funky. I suspect that the version in the repo might be from KTRose which used the older irose type map for adventurers plains.
Better dump the one I'm using now and upload it i suppose. :D

i was able to use yours and work fine until i clicked on one of the quest bells that show a pop up message and then crashed.

This extractor seemed to work, but had to copy over some XML folder from yours 3DData/Controls/XML.

EDIT: This works on windows 10

I had a bug with those bells a long time ago but i fixed it.
they work fine for me now.
It's weird that they don't for you and apparently some other people too if you are using my binaries.
If you compiled the source yourself then it's possible that i might have missed copying the "fixed" code over to the repo since I keep my working source in a different place than my repo clone.

Nah, i tried compiling the client source first had a random ">" character in IO_Quest.cpp file i think it was. Then tried to build it again and something about having .lib's being in debug mode when trying to do the client in release and was too tired to bother figuring it out at 2am. Probably also error finding LIB_UTIL.lib.

Anyway, i guess some of them worked, but not sure if me extracting the actual 3DData myself fixed that or not, but think I went off-topic so enough of that for now.

weird thing is I made a couple of changes yesterday and got that same error in IO_Quest.cpp.
I've never had that before :?

That bit of code is only a logging function that doesn't really do anything anyway so i just commented it out
