Why don't you just TRY an STB Editor and see?

Basically he crashes when trying to buy stuff in shops.

Which would be caused by using a pre-compiled server that comes with data that differs from his client. So he doesn't need to edit anything, just copy the STB and QSD files from the client to the server.

That's right drakia.
I only included the stuff about STB editors for completeness. In this case all that needs to be done is this.

1) Download VFS editor.
2) extract VFS stuff to a new folder (Drakia explained this earlier)
3) find the STB files in the extracted files
4) copy them all to the 3ddata/STB folder in the server
5) start server
6) start client
7) Play!

i did it all and it still doing me the problem (example):
when im going to luna and trying to buy want its out and says unknown problem.
and in the worldserver.exe it says [WARNING]: unknown itemtype
